Tinubu Ahead In Nigeria Election As Opposition Parties Reject Vote Mary Akanbi 27th February, 2023 Early results show former Lagos governor ahead Opposition parties reject election as rigged Outsider Peter Obi gets most votes in Lagos Fifteen out of 36 state. Nigeria's ruling party candidate Bola Tinubu was ahead in the vote count after Saturday's presidential poll, a Reuters tally of provisional results in 15 of 36 states showed on Monday, but opposition parties walked out of the counting process citing concerns of fraud. The tally of provisional electoral commission results showed Tinubu, of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party, was ahead with about 4.26 million votes, against Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) with about 3.26 million votes. Breaking: Massive Jubilation As Tinubu Leads Obi, Atiku In Ondo Mary Akanbi 26th February, 2023 The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has won the election results of the three local governments in Ondo state announced so far. The LGs are Akure North, Akoko South East and Akoko South West. In Akure North, Tinubu polled 14,261 votes to defeat the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party standard bearer, Peter Obi, who got 4,633 and 2,945 votes respectively. In Akoko South East, TInubu secured 10,765 votes, Atiku got 3,016 votes while Obi polled 470 votes.  In Akoko South West, Tinubu scored 28,367 votes, Atiku, 5,376 while Obi got 920 votes. NigeriaDecides2023: It’s Official: INEC declares Tinubu winner of presidential election in Ekiti Mary Akanbi 26th February, 2023 Mr Tinubu won in all 16 local government areas in Ekiti State. The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) has formally declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, as the winner of the presidential election in Ekiti State. The INEC Presiding Officer, Akeem Lasisi, announced the result at the State Collation Centre in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday afternoon. PREMIUM TIMES  had earlier reported how Mr Tinubu scored a total of 201,486 votes  to emerge the winner of the election. Mr Tinubu’s closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in the state with a total of 89,554 votes while Mr Obi of the Labour Party got 11,397 votes, thus unable to meet the 25 per cent requirement in the state.   NBA ELECTION WORKING GROUP ELECTION DAY PRE-NOON REPORT Mary Akanbi 26th February, 2023 While we commend INEC and all stakeholders for their painstaking efforts in the preparation for the General election, it is regrettable that reports from some polling units show late arrival of INEC officials and materials in many parts of the country; NBA election observers have reported these incidents in nearly 25% of the Polling units covered. In many instances, voters turned out up to 3 hours or more before the officials and materials arrived. As at 11am there are reports of INEC officials trying to locate their assigned polling stations. Our observers reported that apart from FCT, Ekiti, Lagos and Kaduna states, voting materials arrived more than one hour late in 75% of polling stations. NBA OBSERVES 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS: OBSERVATION FORM Mary Akanbi 25th February, 2023 De ar Colleagues.   You are aware that we have appointed INEC accredited observers for the 2023 election from across the 128 Branches. The 1st Vice President is the 2023 Chair of the NBA Election Working Group(NBA-EWG). These accredited observers will be issued with tags and identity cards for the purpose of the election observation and that will enable them move around within their jurisdictions.   Notwithstanding and without prejudice to the work of the NBA INEC accredited Observers(NBA-EWG), I have decided that as many of us that will be voting on the Election Day, it will be helpful to collect as much information as we can from our respective polling units. While it has been a few months since the conference, we believe that it is only responsible to keep you apprised and have a closure on the subject.
