NBA PRESIDENT SET TO BE CONFERRED WITH NATIONAL HONOUR .        Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau(SAN) Mary Akanbi 2nd October, 2022 The President of the Nigerian Bar  Association, Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN will be conferred with the national honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) in acknowledgement of his services to the nation as a Legal Practitioner of repute and for his service to humanity. The NBA President will receive the national honour at an event to be presided by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja on October 11, 2022. The NBA President has expressed his gratitude to God Almighty, the Bestower of all honours, and the Federal Government for the national award. A Barrister And Law School Staffs Remanded Over Forgery, Impersonation and Criminal Conspiracy During Resit Bar Exams Mary Akanbi 23rd June, 2022 Paschal Aboh, a law lecturer at University of Calabar The defendants are standing trial before an FCT High Court in Bwari on a Six-count charge bothering on Forgery, Impersonation and Criminal Conspiracy, using as genuine a forged document (Nigerian Law School ID Card) and cheating by personation during Bar 2 Resit Examination of the law school in May, 2022. These offences, according to the prosecution, are contrary Sections 96, 363, 366 and 321 of the Penal Code. The defendants all represented by their lawyers appeared along side the prosecution counsel, Barrister Adewumi Aluko, a principal state counsel in the Federal Ministry of Justice were arraigned today in court but their plea couldn't be taken.
