Charly Boy Hints At Divorce - "We No Get Any Beef, I Just Tire"
Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, a Nigerian music veteran, has hinted at divorce from his wife Lady Dianne.
On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, the musician announced this via his Twitter account.
“My People, If I tell una say, after over 45yrs of marriage to my wife dat am going back to bachelorhood, what would you say? I don talk say dis marriage of a tin just no easy. The longer u stay, the harder it gets. What should I do? I tire oooo,” he tweeted.
In response to the tweet, a couple of netizens stepped in, giving Charly Boy advice on how to spice up his love life and telling him not to let a minor disagreement end their relationship.
“Epa try travel small, go play outside small before you come back, everything go dey alright, nor let that small argument when you and madam get end things or just change her car,” the Twitter user wrote.
“It’s a life long journey. A school that awards certificate at matriculation means that you will remain a student without graduating. That’s it!!!
“Area Father may God give you the grace to pull through whatever challenges might be facing your marriage.
In response, Charly Boy stated that he had no disagreement with his wife and is simply tired of the union.
Charly Boy and Lady D, as she is affectionately known, formally exchanged marital vows in 2018.
The ceremony took place at the chapel of the Sisters of Jesus the Redeemer Catholic Church in Gwarimpa Estate, where he lives.
Bishop Matthew Kukah, a well-known priest, is said to have officiated at the ceremony.
The wedding was attended by the couple’s family and close friends. Lady Dianne, an American, met Charly Boy in a hair salon in Boston, Massachusetts, where he had gone to get his hair done.
The musician previously married Stella in 1974 at a Catholic Church in Onitsha when he was 19 years old. The relationship resulted in one child.
