Rainfall Expected From 14th-17th August in the Following Parts of the Country

Heavy downpour is expected over the mentioned parts of the country. Met Department has revealed that the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley especially Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay and Nandi are likely to receive sunny intervals during the days while afternoon showers are expected over several parts of these regions.

Detailed regional weather forecast for the next four days indicates that morning hours are expected to receive sunny and dry conditions, however occasional rainfall may occur over few places. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over few places occasionally spreading to several places. Night showers are likely to occur over few places.

Met Department also indicates that North Eastern parts of the country especially Turkana and Samburu counties are expected to generally sunny and nights partly cloudy conditions. However there is a likelihood of morning rains and light rains over few places.

Other places include, Highlands East of Rift including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi are expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning. While afternoon showers are likely to occur over few places. Night are too expected to receive cloudy conditions.
