Good morning my learned Colleague @⁨Barr. Cosmos Imah Omoh⁩ . Thank you for acknowledging the need for Tech Innovations at the Secretariat for the benefit of our members.

Now to your first question on any ideas to make Branch Dues and ancillary payments seamless as it is done by NBA National? 

The Web platform payment adopted by the NBA National is a good innovation taking into consideration the total number of lawyers nationwide for easy payment of BPF, however Web platform payment comes with it's own disadvantage i.e technical glitches, where this happen and your debited then you have to approach your bank for reversal. So it is not completely seamless because this happened to me and I believe to many of our colleagues too.

So as a Branch with less than a thousand membership, the inter bank TRANSFER SYSTEM  where you pay your Branch Dues directly to Branch Account in GTB is more seamless than Web payment platform considering our numbers.

At the Secretariat we will dedicate a special purpose e-mail address and WhatsApp numbers where proof of payment can be sent to for proper documentation.

To your second question?

Yes, we will adopt the online google form application method OR create online application link where members can click same and inputs their details for Stamp and Seal Application.

This will be similar to the link we used to register for our just concluded Law week. 

So you can apply for your Seal from the comfort of your home.

The Secretariat will receive your application online and process same.

The notification will be through any of these channels i.e e-mail, sms and on our whatsApp Platform.

For collection, we will map out four centers/points for easy access and collection that's;

Bwari

Dutse

Kubwa

And one collection point in Town.

So with the above, members do not need to get to the Secretariat before having access to their seal.
