KIDNAPPED ABUJA VICTIMS RESCUED INSIDE KADUNA FOREST Mary Akanbi 21st January, 2024 Najeeba, her sisters and their father In a joint operation, the Federal Capital Territory Police anti-kidnapping squad, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, successfully rescued five out of the six Al-Kadriyar sisters abducted from the Bwari area of Abuja in early January. The kidnap victims from Zuma 1 area in the Bwari Area Council were rescued from the Kajuru forest in Kaduna State around 11:30 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Also freed were four members of lawyer Oladosu Ariyo family, the wife and three other children, kidnapped in the Dutse area of the capital. The kidnappers killed Folashade Ariyo, a 13 year old, who was initially kidnapped with them, just as they killed one of Al-Kadriyar’s daughters, identified as Najeeba. Breaking News: Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah Dismisses NYSC's Claim of Fake Certificate Mary Akanbi 6th November, 2023 Enugu State Governor, Barrister Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has been vindicated as the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed allegations of discharge certificate forgery by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Chief Emeka Ozaoni, SAN, led a team of distinguished lawyers in defense of the governor. Representing Governor Mbah, Chief Emeka Ozaoni, SAN, along with Chris Oshomegie, SAN, and a group of eminent legal experts, emphatically refuted the NYSC's claim that they had not issued the discharge certificate to Governor Peter Mbah. Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo, in agreement with Chief Emeka Ozaoni, SAN, rejected the allegations due to the Corps' inability to substantiate their claims as required by the law.
