NKECHI ANNE OBIALLOR – BIOGRAPHY By Her Husband..
Barr/Mrs. Nkechi Anne Obiallor was born a twin in Umunkwo/Umuenyi – in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State on February 7, 1966 into the family of Rev. and Mrs. Geoffrey Maduforo. She attended Sir Francis Ibiam Girls’ Secondary School, Afikpo in Ebonyi State and the Federal School of Arts and Science, Ogoja, Cross River State – for her WASC and H.Sc education respectively. She thereafter attended the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State where she obtained a B. Ed. degree (Biology), and later proceeded to the University of Lagos where she obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA), and a degree in Law (LLB). She thereafter enrolled into the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island Lagos, for her B.L degree and was called to the Nigeria Bar in November, 2005. She capped her quest for knowledge and more about God (her Lord and maker), with a Diploma in Theology in 2018.Clearly, Barr/Mrs Obiallor was a woman of high intellect and her broad academic exposure can be seen in her array of qualifications. Her strong bentfor knowledge and excellence was evident in the fact that while battling with a deadly health challenge, she enrolled for Advanced Leadership Training for House Fellowship Leaders, and went in for the examination from her sick bed!
Popularly known as “Jesus Pikin” even in her young days and university education, her Christian flavourwas not in doubt even up to the time of her recall by her maker. All through, she was ready and willing to work for God, and this she did in various capacities. She was, for example, a Sunday School teacher for years, and a House Fellowship Leader up to the point of her recall. She was, also, up to the point of her recall, the Financial Secretary of the Elders’ Council in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Province 16, FCT, and before then the Vice Chairman of the Council in Power House Zone, Kubwa, Abuja. Also, up to the point of her recall, she was a member of the Marriage Counselling Committee in Power House, Province 16, FCT.In all these, her passion for diligent service was first rate, and of course you would always attract her discomfort when you are lackadaisical with the work and things of God!
All her life, she was modest and never brandished what she was, and of course hardly addressed herselfas “Barrister”, nor did she ever brandish her obviously well-grounded parentage or even the aura of her supportive brothers whose love for her was pulsating, and who were ready to go to the sky for her, and which they, of course, did by consulting an American first rate oncologist by sky!
One other thing about her was that she was always ready to help anyone in need – even at great cost. And she was also a “defender of the defenceless” and an advocate of “fair-hearing” in line with her fancy for the principle of “hear the other side”.Barr/Mrs Obiallor joined the service of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) in 1993 as a Postal Controller VIII, and rose to the position of a Deputy Director (Operations), before her recall on October 11, 2023 by her Father whom she loved so dearly and could even go to war for His sake, and that may, probably explain why He – her Lord and God – recalled her early, at the age of 57!
