INVITATION TO ATTEND THE OPENING OF NOMINATIONS

The ECNBA is pleased to invite all prospective candidates who submitted nomination forms for the NBA 2024 Elections, to attend the opening of nominations ceremony either by themselves or nominate a representative to attend on their behalf.

The opening of nominations ceremony marks the commencement of the next stage of prospective candidates' engagement with the election process and provides an opportunity for candidates or their representatives to formally witness the opening of the nomination envelopes of respective candidates.
We recognize the importance of transparency in the electoral process, and therefore, encourage all prospective candidates to either attend alone, or nominate one representative to attend this significant event on their behalf.

Please note that no candidate is expected to come to the venue or to this event with any supporters. We trust all prospective candidates shall adhere strictly to this.
Details of the opening of nominations ceremony are as follows:

Location: ECNBA Secretariat, NBA Human Rights Institute Building, No. 9 Oro Ago Crescent Garki, Abuja

KIDNAPPED ABUJA VICTIMS RESCUED INSIDE KADUNA FOREST  Mary Akanbi 21st January, 2024 Najeeba, her sisters and their father In a joint operation, the Federal Capital Territory Police anti-kidnapping squad, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, successfully rescued five out of the six Al-Kadriyar sisters abducted from the Bwari area of Abuja in early January. The kidnap victims from Zuma 1 area in the Bwari Area Council were rescued from the Kajuru forest in Kaduna State around 11:30 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Also freed were four members of lawyer Oladosu Ariyo family, the wife and three other children, kidnapped in the Dutse area of the capital. The kidnappers killed Folashade Ariyo, a 13 year old, who was initially kidnapped with them, just as they killed one of Al-Kadriyar’s daughters, identified as Najeeba. Breaking News: Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah Dismisses NYSC's Claim of Fake Certificate Mary Akanbi 6th November, 2023 Enugu State Governor, Barrister Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has been vindicated as the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed allegations of discharge certificate forgery by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Chief Emeka Ozaoni, SAN, led a team of distinguished lawyers in defense of the governor. Representing Governor Mbah, Chief Emeka Ozaoni, SAN, along with Chris Oshomegie, SAN, and a group of eminent legal experts, emphatically refuted the NYSC's claim that they had not issued the discharge certificate to Governor Peter Mbah.
