BISI MAKANJUOLA WINS NBA LAGOS BRANCH CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION .                               Bisi Makanjuola Mary Akanbi 28th June, 2023 Bisi Makanjuola has been elected as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch following the announcement of results at the end of the Lagos Bar elections. He will succeed outgoing Chairman Ikechukwu Uwanna as Chairman of the Premier Bar Branch. Mr. Bisi Makanjuola won the election with 720 votes while his closet rival, Mr. Mayowa Owolabi, earned 684 votes. With 258 votes, Mr. Adebola Lema finished third. FG Declares Wednesday, Thursday Eid-El-Kabir Holidays Mary Akanbi 26th June, 2023 The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29, 2023 as Eid-El-Kabir holidays. This was contained in a statement by a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Oluwatoyin Akinlade. “The Federal Government has declared Wednesday June 28th and Thursday June 29th 2023 Public Holidays in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration and heartily felicitates with the Muslim Ummah at home and in the diaspora,” the statement read. Akinlade enjoined Muslims and all Nigerians “to make sacrifices for the growth and development of our communities and our great country, Nigeria”.
