Court Dismisses Nnamdi Kanu’s Fresh Application For Bail Mary Akanbi 28th June, 2022 Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday dismissed a fresh application for bail by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. The application was filed pending the determination of the treasonable felony charge against him by the Federal Government. Kanu, who is currently facing a seven-count charge, had in the application he filed through his team of lawyers led by Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), also challenged the revocation of the bail the court earlier granted to him. This is coming as the former occupant, Tanko Muhammad, resigned from his position. It was gathered that the former CJN turned in his resignation letter Sunday evening. Until his resignation, reports had it that Justice Muhammad was seriously ill. Again, Barrister Omirhobo Storms Lagos Court In Traditional Attire Mary Akanbi 27th June, 2022 Activist lawyer Malcom Omirhobo in Court in Lagos dressed in combination of a legal practitioner and native doctor (olokun) attire. Again, human rights lawyer and activist, Barrister Malcolm Omirhobo causes a stir at Lagos High Court on Monday when he appeared in a combination of a lawyer and traditional religious practitioners garb. The lawyer had dressed in a similar way to  Supreme Court,  Abuja last week in protest against the recent ruling of the apex court permitting Muslim students in Lagos schools to wear hijab with their uniform. He described the garb as one usually worn by Olokun traditional worshippers.
