GOODWILL MESSAGE OF HENRY BARNABAS EHI, ACIArb (UK) TO THE NBA PANKSHIN BRANCH ON THE OCCASION OF HER ANNUAL LAW WEEK, 2022

It is with great delight that I congratulate the Chairman and all members of the Executive of the Nigerian Bar Association, Pankshin Branch on the occasion of their Annual Law Week commencing from the 20th to 21st October, 2022 with the Theme, _*"THE LAW AS A TOOL FOR CURBING VIOLENCE: THE ROAD TO THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS".*_

I must commend the branch on the Theme for this year’s Annual Law Week as this theme for discuss could not have come at a much better time than now; when violence has become prevalent in the country and its negative impact felt in every sphere of the country.

I believe a robust discuss on this very fundamental, theme by the panelists/discussants would review, expose, expound and expand the rudimentary ethos that would help address the issues and throw light on the possible solution as to the way forward.

I am also upbeat that the projected recommendations therefrom and the implementation thereof will help curb the prevalence of violence in the society and invoke the needed sanctity that would progressively and  impactfully reform our society and the legal system.

I applaud the courage of this Branch in coming up with this laudable theme and I also commend the entire members of the Branch for their resilience in keeping up with the tradition in this regard.

I wish the Executive Council and the entire members of the Branch a fruitful and very successful Law Week.
